EV charger installation in Lower Bucks County

A Level 2 charger is a dedicated 240 volt circuit, usually 40 or 60 amps. The install is straightforward. Whether your panel can carry it is the part worth checking first.

Your panel is the real question

The charger install itself is a day or less. The question is whether your existing service can carry another 48 amp continuous load. On a 1950s Levittown house still running 100 amp service with central air, often it cannot, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than halfway through.

Where the charger goes

Garage wall, exterior wall, or the far side of a detached garage. Outdoor runs get properly rated conduit and a weatherproof disconnect where required. We will walk the run with you before quoting so the cable path is your choice, not a surprise.

About ev charger

Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?

Sometimes. A load calculation answers it. Houses still on 100 amp service with central air and electric appliances frequently do. Houses already at 200 amps usually do not.

Can you install a charger I already bought?

Yes, as long as it is a listed hardwired or NEMA 14-50 unit. Have the model ready when you call so we can check the circuit requirement.
